Job Description
Headquartered in New York City, located in midtown Manhattan on New York’s famed Eastside, our “X” Hotels & Co Home Office teams provide support to all our properties throughout the United States and Canada. Our talented teams provide guidance over strategic planning, operations, revenue management, communications, marketing, finance, human resources, and information technology.
The Director Hospitality Development is responsible for supporting the growth of ‘X” Hotels & Co portfolio . The role will be based out of New York City.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Aid in the identification, structuring, capitalization and development of complex hotel investments among multiple parties including joint venture partners and municipalities.
- Manage large scale construction budgets and development project management to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Create complex financial real estate investment memorandum and operating models for presentation to “X” Hotels & Co Board, and, outside stakeholders.
- Lobby for and secure municipal subsidies whenever possible.
- Review and aid in the negotiation of relevant real estate legal documents, including joint venture and management agreements, incentive awards, etc.
- Communicate with company equity investors, elected officials and other government stakeholders.
- Partner with company colleagues in the creation of real estate investment memorandum, hotel development and post-closing transitions.
- Evaluate and effect ROI projects within hotel developments.
- Provide asset management and owner relations support for existing hotel developments.
- Foster the development of more junior members of the Development team.
- Attend industry investment conferences and stay educated and informed about the hospitality industry.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional communicator of both data and written language
- Real Estate investment modeling and presentation expertise
- Construction budget management and project management oversight
- Extensive experience with legal document review and negotiation
- Incredibly detail oriented
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in Real Estate or Construction Management
Education: Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred
