Job Description

The Hotel General Manager oversees all primary departments—including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Sales. The role balances hands-on operational leadership with high-level strategic planning to maximize revenue while maintaining stringent brand and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Operational Oversight Direct Department Heads: Manage and synchronize leaders in reception, housekeeping, F&B, and maintenance.Conduct Property Inspections: Walk the indoor and outdoor premises daily to ensure safety, cleanliness, and asset protection.Enforce SOP Standards: Ensure absolute compliance with hospitality brand standards, internal controls, and local regulatory laws.Manage Reputation: Review daily guest satisfaction metrics and handle escalated online reviews or complex service recoveries.Financial & Commercial ManagementP&L Responsibility: Formulate, present, and execute the annual operating budget, capital expenditures (CapEx), and sales strategies.Optimize Key Metrics: Analyze performance benchmarks including occupancy rates, ADR (Average Daily Rate), and RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room).Control Operational Costs: Audit supply vendor contracts, departmental payroll, and overall operating expenses.Drive Business Strategy: Partner with revenue management and marketing to execute promotions and dynamic pricing arrays.Team Leadership & HRRecruit and Hire: Direct the sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding of management and line-level hotel staff.Train Personnel: Implement professional development frameworks and service training protocols.Foster Culture: Maintain a motivated, productive work environment to reduce industry-standard turnover rates.
